Short stories about growing up in a small town in northern IL during the 50's. Most of the stories have a humorous aspect to them, as a small boy misinterprets things he sees and hears. Plus there are plenty of local characters for him to encounter on a daily basis. Pretty good overall, a quick read. Not sure I would read any more books by Jim May (if there are any...), but this has some fun parts. show less
