A good local history, with monochrome photographs, line drawings and a substantial amount of information about the small town of Hedon, which during mediaeval times rivalled Hull as a east coast port town.
Rose Carr, the superwoman carrier of Hornsea, is one character. Apparently a discourteous Hull City footballer nearly lost his life after some discourtesy and a ducking in a horse trough by Rose.
