Ireland, Africa and the end of empire: Small state identity in the Cold War 1955-75 by Kevin O'Sullivan
This is a very interesting and well written book. The book details the role of Irish missionaries in Africa, of both faith, and their role in the development of Irish foreign policy in the region. The conflict in Biafra, the Congo, the development of the Irish anti-apartheid movement and Ireland's overseas aid policy, which was heavily Africa focused, are all examined.
