I'm always amazed at how much information Shire Publications can pack into such small packages. This one is a bit bigger than other Shire books that I own, being more than 50 pages. The author knows his topic, having been a manager in the textile industry in Britain for over 25 years, now retired. Although the felt industry is dead in Britain today, the author points out that felt is an ancient fabric that cannot be completely dismissed or replaced. It is still alive today through the show more handcraft of modern feltmakers. show less
