Valley of Embers by Steven Kelliher is the first book in The Landkist Saga. Kole is an Emberfolk. He doesn't believe in the prophecy, and he is determined to prove that said prophecy is wrong.

I loved this story! There were new races which I had never heard of, and the pace was fast, for the most part. The middle of the book slowed, but picked up again towards the end. I also loved the author's writing style. This was definitely an exciting adventure.

The Emerald Blade (The Landkist Saga #2) by Steven Kelliher is a fantasy adventure novel given to me to read by the author. It is book two and really should be read after book one. Book one is really awesome and recommend book one but found book two not to live up to book one. I liked it but found it a little wordy in places. I liked the plot and characters but found a good editing would have made it flow smoother and would have held my interest better like it did in book one. It is worth show more the read for sure but I guess I liked book one so much that I was a bit disappointed it wasn't as good. lol. The review was voluntary. show less

Valley of Embers by Steven Kelliher is a great fantasy novel with lots of action, adventure, mystery, intrigue, creatures to give you nightmares, and more. It's a story of hope, heroes, demon-like creatures, and a band of people determined to save their people. There is never a dull moment in this book! Magic, mayhem, and fantasy fills this rich plot, well developed characters, and the scary world the author weaves for us. Great job! I received this book for a honest review.
