About the Author
Ian Duncan is Florence Green Bixby Professor of English at the University of California, Berkeley, and a General Editor of the Collected Works of James Hogg. His books include Scott's Shadow: Die Novel in Romantic Edinburgh (2007) and editions of fiction by Scott and Hogg, including Winter Evening show more Tales and Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner. The late Douglas S. Mack was Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Stirling. The founding General Editor of the Stirling / South Carolina Research Edition of the Collected Works of James Hogg, he edited several volumes in the series, as well as the Edinburgh Edition of Scott's Tale of Old Mortality. show less
