Alan has been the voice of radio football for as long as I can remember, originally with the late great Peter Jones and with various partners since. I enjoyed this. As he says himself he is an opinionated man. Infact the only acknowledgement of my team in his book is a negative one, but who cares, like he says he tells it how it is, if its rubbish then its rubbish unlike the Sky staff who will tell you every game is a classic. He also devoted a full chapter to slagging Alex Ferguson off show more which I think shows a certain sense of style. To be fair Alan is a man who's brains Id love to pick about his career in football (and other sports of course). This book has only made the urge stronger. Perhaps the ultimate prize for a BBC competition, unrestricted access to the Beebs Audio/Visual archives with Alan as you tour guide. show less
