Alison lived in Canada for most of her life. She has been accused of putting maple syrup on everything food related and being overly fond of trees. She now lives in Surrey, England with her husband and 3 children. She may never develop a love of marmite, but she has embraced beans on toast wholeheartedly. She works as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist when she's not dreaming up stories. - Birthplace

Tells the story of Eleanor "Ellie" Foraker, who helped create the A7L space suit, which the first U.S. astronauts wore on the moon. Ellie, who always loved sewing as a child and who works as a seamstress as an adult, is on the team that designs and sews the spacesuits that win the competition to go to the moon.
Accessible, peppered with interesting facts, beautifully presented, not overwhelming. Three, two, one, blast off!

Bears should not be default male, nor librarians default female (and "miss" no less!). And bears are getting smarter and less afraid of humans... we really need to help children learn to give them their space and not try to make friends with them. Even brushing off my concerns, it's just a so-so story with meh illustrations.
