Malgrat aquesta lectura m'ha agradat molt l'he trobat com a molt lineal, no hi ha res que m'hagi impactat. Ens explica la història d'un home corrent analfabet que el criden per anar a la guerra (1a, guerra mundial), el seu desplaçament en tren, la trobada amb els demés allistats i tota la preparació prèvia.
