This will be a short review because this is a short book but I thought this was actually really sweet! I liked the way that Sebastian treated Robert. I liked that it was always clear that Robert would have choices as to whether to do something or not and could have the freedom to learn and grow and not just be an omega or a mate.
This book was definitely an interesting and more in-depth look at some elements of omega biology compared to what I’ve read before. I thought the choices made set show more this story apart a little bit. The conflict and plot in this book was also great. The author really crams a lot in considering this book is only just over 100 pages but it never felt rushed.
I would be interested in reading other books by this author or other books in this series. Hopefully I would like them as much as this one. show less

This came recommended to me, so I gave it a try even though I don't really like the omegaverse theme. I liked the book up to the point Jonah and Nate finally got together(around 60%, I think), after that it was as if I was reading a different book. Everything felt kind of rushed & superficial from that point on - things that I wanted explained were brushed over, the whole thing with the pregnancy felt... off. Maybe it's because it wasn't really heavy on omegaverse up to that point... In show more fact, I felt like I wasn't really reading an omegaverse book at all, and it kind of caught me by surprise. Even though I was fully aware what I was going into 🤦♀️ Anyhow, I really enjoyed the first half, the second half not so much. Glad I gave it a try, but I don't think the series/theme is for me. show less
Rec'd on r/MM_rb for arranged marriage where the intended husband feels unwanted but kicks ass, similar to High King's Golden Tongue by Megan Derr
This was really good! Good overall writing, balance of plot and slowburn romance, decent characters and worldbuilding and nobody was annoying or OTT. One sex scene near the end, like 80% into the book, and he gets preg immediately lmao. Smart MC with special magic powers needed by new husband/country. Definitely fits recommendation specs.

This one was definitely very similar to other types of stories in this vein but I did enjoy it. The first 15% of this book were a little rough and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this. Basically the whole synopsis happens in the first 10% so if you’re reading this because the synopsis interests you, just know that part of this plot wraps up very quickly.
I did like the characters in this book. Noah and Ronan has what I thought was a sweet relationship once it got past show more their first meeting and really started to develop. Neither of them are super complex characters and their romance is pretty streamlined but I did like they way they treated each other and how much they cared about each other. I liked how Ronan helped Noah to overcome some of the issues of his past and never wanted Noah to be so down on himself. I liked the pack structure of this book so that was nice to read about
Overall this was another fun quick quarantine read that was great for a relaxing book to read that was easy to get through, just what I expected, and even though it didn’t blow me away, I definitely still enjoyed it. show less
