This is an account of the German Occupation of Guernsey in the Second World War as told by Molly Bihet. At this time, the author was a young schoolgirl, who relates her personal experiences during the Occupation. In scavenging for food to help feed her family, she was kicked by a oafish german and on the Island being liberated she sent a letter to Winston Churchill, which he replied to. Of course many books have been written about the Occupation of the Channel Islands and this is another to add show more to our knowledge in what must have been trying times for the islanders.
