- 2.5 stars - Meh... Unpopular opinion alert ⚠️!!

My first book by Lucy Foley. I wanted to read this book because of the hype and also to check out Reese's book club pick of the month.

Well, this one just isn't for me. This is not a bad book by any means and I did like the very beginning of it. However, the build up was super slow so if that's your thing, you probably like it.

The Guest List is no thriller, but a whodunit mystery. There is absolutely no thrill involved until the last five show more or so chapters. I'm giving this 2.5 stars as I like the island mystery and the fact that you have to guess who got killed as well as the killer. The story is told from multiple POV (I didn't like any of them, okay maybe one ~ the wedding planner). I didn't guess the mysteries correctly, but the reveal came far too late to be excited by it. show less
