This is pretty good for the urban fantasy and harem romance genres. The adult scenes aren't terribly explicit, but they aren't fade to black either, and the characters are very much the kind who show affection physically and soon after entering a relationship. I like that the "harem" sounds more like a poly relationship and that the focus is on animal shifters because I have a soft spot for those kinds of supernaturals. The story was a bit meandering and not very deep, which made me hesitate show more to give more than a four star, but I felt like it deserved quite a good rating for the entertainment value. The magical system is neat and I like the main character's observations about the similarity to some of his college classwork. The college student backstory that I did not buy was the part where he mentions his course load for the semester. No college is going to let you take that many classes a semester. Full load is 5, you might be able to sign forms to take 6, but I'm fairly sure he said he was taking 7... Yeah, no. Ignoring that, the book is excellent for good leisure reading. I've already downloaded the second book, obviously. show less
Only short over 200 pages - so this is a fast read.
Dude is attacked and made a were-lion by a family friend. finds himself some girls, a world full of magic and also learns that his long dead father was an alchimist. a lot magic user want to kill him and he starts learning to be a were-lion as well as learning magic.
The MC is too perfect and the world does not feel real. E.g. his mother get missing, his neighbour killed, both houses get blown up but the police just inform and warn him but show more do not get him in to questioning him?
I see some potential in the book but this gets 2 stars (it was okay) - maybe the next is better.

Loving this series

I would love to have a book 3. I love the hint at that and has potential for being a excellent harem series and more
