If Kevin Reynolds isn't involved, my tolerance for Deadpool is pretty low. I do like Kelly Thompson's writing, so I thought I could make an exception this time, but I shouldn't have bothered. Wade's babbling on the printed page just wears me down, even if he does have an adorable shark pet now.
I do admit that the metafiction commentary on crossover events and series cancellation in the final issue collected here was actually pretty funny, and if the rest of the book had been as cutting I show more might have enjoyed it. show less

Deadpool is always so much better when written by a women, and I continue to love Thompson's writing style here. But it *is* still Deadpool, and plagued by early cancellation and mandatory event tie-ins.
Overall, a solid book that might've been great with some more space to tell it's story.

Very different Deadpool comic than any I’ve ever read before, but it was very good! He’s a lot more responsible than in other comics, but still Deadpool, it was interesting!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i feel so bad abt this rating :(
i love eve ewing, but i still cant get w the genre of superhero comics :/
the bit of character-building we get is great, and so far i like riri more than almost all the other marvel/dc superheros ive encountered, but so much abt this genre/format is awkward, stilted, rushed, cramped
im glad that eve ewing is writing for such a big publisher, that her writing is getting out there, and that readers of marvel will see better heroes as a results. but show more god i just DO NOT like superhero comics :/ show less
