John Davis is a conservationist who bikes, hikes and paddles his way from Florida thru the Smokey Mountains. This is a nice travelogue with many shout outs to other authors and their books for your reading pleasure. Davis offers observations and solutions as well as personal anecdotes and wildlife factoids throughout the text. Some nice photos, this will be a handbook for the outdoorsman finding their way to these areas, and a reference for the concerned naturalist. There is a place on the show more shelf for this one!
