I found a lot to enjoy in this story.
The narrator was fantastic. I loved her speaking voice and ability to differentiate between people while layering in energy to bring them to life. She added to the humour of many scenes with her comedic timing.
The Irish setting is not common so that was fun, as were the quirky characters who all managed to hold the spotlight to some degree in this murder mystery. The way Aisling, the FMC, shared her obsession with sexy lighthouses/how sexy lighthouse show more keepers with bare feet were was hilarious! In fact, there were quite a few laugh out loud moments, but they were well balanced with scenes of frustration and grief and finding your place.
I liked the magic of the community and it's inhabitants, in particular how a wizard combined his technical and magical skills to help the investigation progress.
The story moved along well and I felt invested in so many of the cast. I am excited to begin the next in the series. show less

Killer Knight at the Museum (A Paranormal Cozy Mystery) (Museum of Magical Artefacts Book 1) by A. A. Albright
A QURIKY yet AWESOME who -done- it magical tale that had me trying to nab the killer when a suit of armor came to life and murdered a man at the museum. I loved Annie witch with unusual powers.
One of those books that captivate you from the start, with well fleshed out characters. Not your typical carbon copy urban fantasy.
fun and enjoyable cozy mystery
