The book wasn't completely satisfying; it was neither an in-depth look at the trial itself, nor an in-depth look at what led up to the defendants being accused. It tried to do both at the same time, and doesn't succeed, truly, at either. There were some strange glitches, as well: Roland Freisler being identified as "Freisling" (p. 30), the old one about the jig being performed by Hitler at Compeigne (p. 49), and Goering's father's role (governor of German SOUTH West Africa, not West Africa) show more (p. 181), all errors that could have been caught with good editing. Persico's account is better. show less
