Robert Austin (5) (1895–1973)

I read this, not because I intend to take up art, but because its conversational manner and intimate tone took me into a comfy studio where a watercolourist has introduced me to his world. It is quaint and pictureless (instructions to paint that has no diagrams? crazy), terribly English and a mere 36 pages long. If a book were a stroll, this would be it. Dare I say it... this would appeal to lovers of the Jane Austen language.
