In this charming read Eric is told by mom to rake the yard. The task is more complicated than he thinks it should be and that’s all due to the wind gusting away and causing the leaves to run from his rake.

He pleads with the wind to leave him alone and let him finish his chores so can have some fun. It’s a back and forth struggle until the job is completed and that’s when the wind let’s Eric in on a little secret about their day. I will let you read it for yourself to find out the show more secret.

It was a fun story told in rhymes. The ending was great and the illustrations are very well done. It will be a fun subject and story to read to your little ones and I think they will love the illustrations, especially the attempt to battle the wind with a hockey stick. When I was little I was all about the kite, problem was I could never figure out how to make it soar. Maybe I should have done like the little guy in this fun story and had a talk with the wind.

The illustrations are wonderful and the story and rhymes great. A lot of fun for young and old. A little bit motivational story, a little bit about forgiveness and a lot about fun. Pick it up and read it with the little ones today.
