I had mixed feelings about this book because it pushed readers to broaden their perspective about marine life, but the text and pictures were not very engaging. Even though I am personally interested in marine life, I found this book to be very dull. For example, each page of the book included a picture and a brief paragraph written below it. The book lacked graphs, fun facts, and bold or colored text, which made it look like a boring version of a school text book. Besides the beautiful show more photographs, there was nothing in this book that caught my attention, or was visually stimulating to the eye. However, I did enjoy the fact that the book talked about sea creatures, underwater plants, and their habitats. Some of the facts were very interesting and I did learn a lot, but the information could have been presented in a better way. For instance the text mentioned that Sea Urchins “have tiny tube like feet which allow them to move along the bottom surface and some species have hollow legs filled with venom.” It would have been nice if the book included a glossary, or a short explanation of the word “venom”, and possibly maybe more than two facts about each photograph. I thought that there could have been more information presented throughout the book, and an index could have made the book easier to read. For instance, I would have liked to be able to use an index to find the section on underwater plants, rather than flipping through the pages of the book.
The main idea of the book is to teach readers about marine life, through written text and photographs. I feel that this book could be useful in terms of doing research about marine life, but that other books would probably be more attractive and useful to readers.

This children’s book is an introduction to basic facts about the moon. There is information about eclipses, seeing the moon without a telescope, its orbit, temperature and so much more. I was surprised about some of the information that I didn’t know. Great to start that child who is interested in planets.
Sally loves taking her cat Milkshatke to the Library with her. She loves sitting and reading too him. She finds a strange book on an upper shelf. As she opens it Milkshake notices a strange glow coming from the book. Suddenly several animals and a zoo keeper pop out of the book. This is obviously the first book in The Magical Zoo series. Very cute.
I received Children books : " I am Dreaming About.. ".

The book is supposed to be a beginner reader book, about a doggie named Max, but the version, I got was confusing to read. The book has a line to read to the kids and I guess information for the parents about dreams and dogs. The facts could have been placed at the back of the book versus intermingled with the story.

So Max dreams about various things, such as traveling around the world and parents can learn facts about dreaming. The book show more is a quick read. It is not the typical Dan Jackson children's book, I have read before.

You also have free coloring pages at the back of the book for printing. The book also encourages children to share their dreams with their parents. Other than that, I don't think the book is age-appropriate. My 3 year old isn't interested in hearing the facts, he just wants some basic words and the pictures.
