Raucous, hard nosed and blunt in it's depiction of filmmakers working outside of the Hollywood system. Worthy to be a good read for those interested in seeing what it takes to be bold enough to create original works by African Americans in movies.
Cool book. I'm glad I bought it. Learned a lot. Also, I loved the screenplay and thought it was researched very well by the screenwriter Joseph Strickland. Storyboards were kind of dorky but effective. Overall, a very good read.
