Kawo Tanuki

A little bit of wholesomeness that is desperately needed right now. This entire volume is a flashback and is heavy on humor but light on wackiness. It was a good mix for me.

So unbelievably precious and cute. The character designs are distinct with lots of personality (although Letty's proportions take getting used to). The story is simple and charming. Just the dash of wholesome I needed.

I really like how this draws on a variety of mythologies. The running gag about Letty's fearsome reputation hasn't gotten old yet. I like that he's showing some growth.

The bat realtor is adorable and frustrating. The houses in this one have a touch of horror to them - perhaps unsurprising with a vampire.
