This tale is unrealistic in an imagination-inspiring way. Being abandoned from his kingdom, meeting apes, travelling to fight the king of the demons is all such a part of a different world The pictures take the readers to this different world. The monkeys, especially do not look like monkeys in our world. They look like humans with monkey-like facial features which makes it even more mystical. My only criticism is that this is a story that involves a damsel in distress. Perhaps it would be show more an opportunity to discuss this aspect in this story and many more. show less
