This is another doctor unhappy with NHS, and Westaby lets rip in the last chapter. Other than ranting about the NHS, the last chapter is also about his prostate surgery. I felt he gave too many details here. Nevertheless, this is still a good read. He teaches me about courage and concentration. How can he still concentrate on a difficult surgery when his wife was giving birth a few doorsteps away? Amazing.

Another doctor unhappy with the NHS. These doctors seem to write books as a means to get their views out. Nevertheless, it is still a good read. These medical memoirs always make me feel that doctors or surgeons have the toughest job in the world. Lives are in their hands, and one wrong move can affect someone's life. What is my job compared to theirs? Although the technical jargon can be difficult to understand, the description of the surgery feels like a thriller, as you wonder if the show more patient operated on survived. show less
