Whimsical, humourous, beautifully written story of Mina Cucina, a lovely but terrible cook who desperately wants to enter the annual baking competition and, just for a change, not come last. But with cakes exploding daily, it's not looking hopeful. However, hope is at hand. Unbeknownst to Mina Cucina, she has created a collection of helpers from leftover bits of cooking and they, led by the Spaghetti Giraffe, are going to lend a hand.
