Lucas and his Dad have drifted apart after his mother died. Lucas' father is super wealthy and has basically just left the child raising to au pairs and school and thrown himself into his business and neglected Lucas. The Summer holidays have arrived and Lucas' Dad has signed him up for a Drama club in the local village to "get him out of his shell". All Lucas wants to do is write music on his piano. Lucas is dreading drama club and makes the mistake on the first day of telling one of the show more girls in the club Keely that he has a ballroom in his house. (He does, he lives in a huge manor ). This starts in motion a chain of events that sees Lucas coming out of his shell and making friends with Keely's family who run a bakery shop in the village.
