This was a breath-hitching and gasp-inducing short read. We have a strong omega wolf shifter who’s been in love with ‘Orsic’ the orc since she was a pup, while he remains adamant that she should be with her own kind.
Once he realizes his feelings and she goes into heat, all smutty hell breaks loose. Pages after pages are full of all the rutting, multiple knotting, whelp-producing galore that will make you smile from ear to ear.

I thought that this was a really interesting first book, and I'm looking forward to reading the next books in the series and to watching the author grow as an author.
I think that this is a really interesting take on Omegaverse, and one that I haven't seen before, so pretty unique. I think having it be due to a virus is an interesting way to take it, and one which has all kinds of possible repercussions.
I thought that the temporary and militaristic view on the relationship between Alphas show more and Omegas was one is contrary to the way that most Omegaverse stories go.
I would've liked to see a little more information about investing and exactly what it means in relation to the Omega/controller relationship. show less

This was a seriously intense book from the beginning to the end. It kept me on edge, but in the best way, because there were enough dips in the action that it wasn't totally overwhelming.
I think that this one was darker and more intense than the first book, which makes sense because of the way that the overall story is working. I can't wait to see where it's going to go next.
I really think that Lane's take on on the Omegaverse is unique. It's not one I've seen before, and I really like how show more it works.
This is definitely a great sophomore book. show less

So freaking hot, steamy, down & dirty! Yum. One omega plus eight mates - six of whom are wolf shifters - make for a very sexy adventure with lots of action, knotting, shifting, heats, knotting. Fern and her mates literally come together to escape the humans, the wolves, and even orcs to reach their HEA.
