The art was nice, I will give it that. It's an aesthetically pleasing manga. That said, there's ten couples (plus a bonus section that goes back to the first couple), and each one gets a handful of pages that do really nothing to develop anything. Each page has an anecdote; they're almost like a series of short Tumblr posts, in terms of storytelling. Also, two of the couples were rather disturbing to me. One was the yandere trope, with one half of the couple saving the other girl's HAIR and show more fantasizing about keeping her home and all to herself by breaking her legs and cutting her fingers. Yikes. The other is a teacher/student relationship with a big age gap--the student is 16--and no matter what the actual age of consent is in Japan, that's a power imbalance that squicks me.
But...pretty art. show less

Sweet, cutesy, but insubstantial short stories of lesbian romance. Mostly each ten page tale is told in a series of one-page gags, which makes for weird pacing and an odd tone.
UPDATE, June 22, 2024:
Insubstantial is right. This book totally evaporated from my brain, and nearly five years down the road I inadvertently checked it out of the library a second time and read it through without recognizing it at all until I went to log it on Goodreads. Oops.
This time through, twhat caught my show more attention was that almost all the stories are about twenty-somethings already cohabitating and enjoying their relationships without having to deal with heavy coming out or homophobia issues. Still, the slice-of-life aspect just made it too low-key for me. Not memorable at all . . . show less
