The author should edit this book to remove the plant science from the title; plant science is addressed and dismissed in only a handful of pages. A plant science textbook that takes only two paragraphs each for mitosis and meiosis is not worthy of the title. The structure of the cells is dealt with only superficially. This is not a textbook that any properly educated scientist would choose for their plant science class unless it was foisted on them by a policy that did not allow them to show more choose their own textbook, but instead required them to use a textbook chosen by someone with a background in a different field. In addition, there are very limited instructor resources with the book, which makes it even more difficult to use. show less
