Anthony Carty, also known as Tony Carty, is the Cheng Yu-Tung Chair Professor of Law at Tsinghua University, and was born in Ireland in 1948, and studied mainly in the United Kingdom, including Queen's University Belfast, University College London and Cambridge University. He studied at Queen's University Belfast, University College London and Cambridge University, where he received his PhD in 1973.
