She-Hulk returns to Earth from her hot date with The Scoundrel to dismantle the bomb he planted in Manhattan and help the rest of the superheroes fight off the alien invasion. Jack returns at the last minute to save the day and kiss the girl.
An enjoyable issue. Good as the ending to this story arc but frustrating as the ending of the series. Who was the alien who hired The Scoundrel to bomb Manhattan? Why? Can Jack ever come back permanently? Will he and Jen make it work? The series show more “rebrands” and continues under a new name, but knowing now that it’s only 10 issues long I don’t have high hopes.
For the series overall I enjoyed the art and the vibes were fun but the plot was just so slow compared to something like The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl which has way more going on per issue. show less

After discovering that Jack can’t hurt Jen if he’s already full of radiation, their relationship is back on. She introduces Jack to her secret superhero/villain fight club. Regular Hulk (He-Hulk?) shows up. In a side-story, She-Hulk teaches an intern how to be a superhero.
Why is this a new series? An editor’s note says “we loved what the previous volume was doing and we wanted to get it into more people’s hands”. What does that even mean? The previous series was only 15 issues, show more that’s hardly inaccessible. I suspect the real answer is somewhere between “we would have to pay more to continue the previous series than to start a new one” and “we had to start a new series in order to add He-Hulk”, both of which are annoying.
This is a perfectly fine issue, in which nothing really happens. I’m happy for Jen and Jack but I would love for them to address the fact that Jen was on a date with another man when aliens tried to blow up Manhattan! It’s not a new series in any way. The additional story was a fun little treat. Andres Genolet’s art is perfect but it was nice to see someone else’s take. show less

Another pleasant visit with She-Hulk courtesy of Rainbow Rowell. Nothing much happens, per usual, but it's all so nice, who cares? Jennifer Walter hangs out with her boyfriend, her clients, her cousin, and her gal pals. Sometimes fighting happens, sometimes it's just time to emote. It all works.
Uh-oh! With her romantic relationship going through some physical contact issues, Jen finds herself tempted by a handsome and flirtatious thief who is treating their very physical hero/villain fights like foreplay.
This fizzy series comes to an end with this volume, but -- Hooray! -- it is immediately launching with Rainbow Rowell staying on to write the adventures of Jen Walters under the new title of The Sensational She-Hulk. It's a silly move to get a new #1, but I'm glad they're trying show more something to keep the fun going.
