ILL'd this because my 16-year old cat is getting increasingly creaky. (I figured she was something like 75 in cat years but it turns out to be more like 82!) Good lists of symptoms to look out for and changes to expect. Needed the guilt trip about the teeth. Targeted just right in terms of being for people who strongly value their cat's companionship but do not consider them furry children. I don't feel the need to buy it for a day-to-day reference yet, but it has given me an idea of what to show more do next. (Schedule a check-up, of course.) show less
This Sterling Biographies story of Marie Curie is a comprehensive look into the life of the "mother of modern physics". The text is engaging though difficult at times, with many pictures to reinforce historical legitimacy. Many chapter titles and paragraph headings are used to make skimming and navigating the biography easy, and a vocabulary glossary is provided at the end. My favorite aspects of this biography are the aside notes about different people in the Curies' lives, social show more happenings of the time, and more in-depth information about the science involved. This being the first biography I have read about Marie Curie, I have nothing to compare it to in terms of information that might have been omitted. I read a review from School Library Journal that indicated that some information had been left out, though it didn't express what.

Overall, I think this is a great biography series for middle school students.
