A lively and lusty second book in this fine series. Fanciful adventures require interesting characters and an imaginative storyline, this book provides both.
A good young adult adventure set in the "Age of Fighting Sail" era. Two street urchins are caught up by a Royal Navy press gang. Their progress into able seaman level is punctuated with: learning to sword fight, how to be spies and find treasure as well as their seamanly duties. A lively start to possibly a quite good series.
Very interesting, if quite young for their abilities and skills; the characters develop nicely in this rather difficult to believe plot. Russians and the occasional Romanian make appropriately evil enemies that must be overcome at land or sea as well as at home or in foreign waters.
