The Montague Twins:The Witch's Hand is the first of a new series (I hope.).
It's The Hardy Boys Meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer in small town USA and its a graphic novel to boot! I'm There.
(And let me give a shout out to Comicology who creates specially formatted online comic books (GN's) where you can click form panel to panel and se the details and the text even easier than if you had the physical book in your hands.)
This one the artwork is a little blocky and crude but the energy and the show more power of the images just leaps off the page (screen?) at you. Story takes its time to get going but it's a great ride for all that.
Can't wait for volume two. show less

A real slow burn, but patience will be rewarded as the character development and world building lead to a satisfying conclusion in this supernatural twist on the Hardy Boys set in the late 1960s. I look forward to a sequel.
I usually shy away from most dark books or ones that deal with the occult, but this series is really good. Dialogue/narrative voice is stellar. Plot doesn’t take the cliché story beats you’d expect.
If Buffy the Vampire Slayer met Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys - you would get this young adult graphic novel series. When three amateur detectives find a mysterious box - they know that this case is going to be like nothing else they've ever dealt with. Witches, missing teens, and an eccentric (and creepy) rich man lead the Montague twins (and Charlie - their bad-ass"sister") on their most unbelievable adventure yet. Great illustrations, a unique story-line, and some fun supernatural show more elements make this the first installment a very promising start. I can't wait to check out more in this series! show less
