2025 book #33. 1985. Jay Johnstone was a utility outfielder and pinch hitter who was good enough at the game to have a 20-year career (.267 career hitter, 102 HR). He was also a famous baseball prankster. I was in Philly when he was with the Phillies and he was fun to watch play. Jay passed away in 2020 in a nursing home due to COVID-19. He was only 55.
