Despite its cartoony aspect this was a very fertile period for GW. There was a fair amount of wacky or silly humour which didn't appeal to everyone - certainly not me at the time. But looking back it all works and doesn't need the reader to understand irony in order to understand that the Warhammer universe is a big joke. The designers' notes on Mordheim are especially good, as was the Four Gamers' final tournament. There was a great article for the absolute beginner, well written and easy show more to understand. Also a mini-game called Brewhouse Bash that was almost made for playing at school breaks. Plus, an article about making jungle ruins, which I might add to my modelling To Do pile. Also, a couple of great painted armies. Nice! show less
