Reviews
A slim but valuable volume reproducing the known works of the 17th-century Italian engraver Giovanni Battista Bracelli (or Braccelli), most notably the amazing ‘proto-surrealist’ Bizzarie di Varie Figure. Also included are the curious series of Figure Con Instrumenti Musicali E Boscarecci along with a handful of miscellaneous individual prints. This catalogue is prefaced by a short essay (in French) by Maxime Préaud and an appreciation by Braccelli fan Tristan Tzara.
