Hazel Court

Hazel Court was the Horror Queen because she was in the best horror movies made when the system really knew how to make them. She worked with all the great stars of the genre including Christopher Lee, Boris Karloff, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. She happens to be in my very first horror movie childhood memory, Premature Burial, starring opposite Ray Milland. Whether playing the beautiful victim or the evil temptress, she captivated audiences with her screen presence. Her book details her show more beginnings as an actress and the journey she took to become The Horror Queen. A total class act until the very end of her life, I recommend this book for anyone who wants to wax nostalgic for a bygone time when a horror story had to rely more on the storyline and writing and what wasn't shown. Fantastic inside photographs throughout the whole book. What an elegant lady and an honest account of her life. show less
