What a disappointment, I think whoever in Sedona who stocked this in the New Age bookstore really did not read it before putting this in the Starseed section.
I just read the entire book this morning.
All it is is Jesus this and Christianity that. This belonged in the Christianity section. If you notice, in the earlier editions, it claims to be extraterrestrial and it doesn't in the later editions. Probably because people were on to him.
I am not Christian, I do not want to read a book on show more Christianity. There is no Starseed information anywhere in this book. I really hoping that the next book I read on Starseeds actually have something to do with the topic.
Additionally, hopefully, the next book I read on the topic won't be written in 11 days. Seriously...
I normally keep every book about New Age topics that I come across, this one is about to find itself on paperbackswap. show less

Speaking from a larger awareness, Return of the Bird Tribes recounts the way our brothers and sisters have incarnated into human form throughout the history of North America, guiding humanity and working to return them to a state of harmony.
Those of us who feel they came here for a purpose may find Ken Carey's words very familiar. Beautifully written, it shows the history of our spiritual awareness, the reason why so many of us came here at this time, and our relation to this planet. To some show more of you, reading this will feel like coming home. To others, it is an amazing story of intuitive knowledge, wisdom, and a reminder of the loving help of those who watch over you. show less

I did not enjoy this book as much as I had hoped. Only Chapter Five represents a fairly coherent piece of natural history writing, which captivated my attention. Other chapters are an oddly incoherent mass of family stories, history and anecdotes which do not ring true. Thrown in is a peculiar type of paganism and spirituality, regretfully often found among environmentalists. The authors style in not consistent, and some peculiar quips ought to have been removed by the publisher's editor. show more The book is more about the author's mind than about the Ozark Mountains, and we learn hardly anything about the landscape and natural history of the area. show less
"The priceless wisdom of Native America...is no longer an option, to be ignored or accepted at will. If we are to survive, we must adopt it as part of our souls and our blood, and make the ancient way of reverence for the earth our way. Gently, insistently, Return of the Bird Tribes illumines the path. It is a joyous, essential book." Whitley Strieber, author of Communion"A breathtaking panorama of the beginning of all beginnings and a vision of our possible luminous future-now." Laura show more Huxley, co-author of The Child of Your Dreams"Return of the Bird Tribes lifts to a new level our relation to the American Indian culture. It is for our generation to grasp and apply this profound teaching. This book represents channeling at its very best." Sir George Trevelyn, author of Operation Redemption"A key in the lock-of-limited-belief." Ronald S. Ross, Dallas Mgmt. Consultant"Of the many voices speaking these days on behalf of humanity's greater spirit and for a positive future, Ken is one of the clearest and most inspirational. I recommend his works."
