An absolute delight!! This sweet slow burning romance is just what a dark winter night needs. M. Culler superbly explores the themes of friendship and romantic love within the context of The Regency period of British history. For some of the young British royalty, the yearly seasons from where marriage partners were selected, was a daunting process, where “Love” was very often not a consideration.
M. Culler casts wonderful lovable characters upon this beautiful story landscape. Highly show more recommend!! It’s one of my favorites by this author. show less
I love this Somerset series. Why? Because you find yourself in a world of the past. A seemingly simpler world of the late 1800’s, but maybe not as simple as you think. Within the small village of Mill-Upon-Mortlake a body has been found. A murder? Natural causes? It’s not clear, but that unlikely pair of Daphne and John Gainsworth put their heads together (in more ways than one), to attempt to uncover the truth. Along the way they have to work through their own feelings for each other. show more Throw in a handsome stranger in town and you have the recipe for a wonderful cozy mystery/Historical Romance Novel. Wonderful, fun and touching story. Highly recommended! M. Culler: More stories please and where can I find someone like Daphne? 😉 show less
What a clever spin on the Jack the Ripper tale. In this fascinating, page turning story Jack is a force for good, out to rid the world of demons from the underworld. It’s not a very easy task, as the demons occupy the bodies of innocent folk. Jack has a life in Victorian England and a fiancé which makes his mission very problematic, to say the least. M. Culler does an excellent conveying the historical period with engaging characters and a plot full of twists. Recommended!
A delightful story that will bring a smile to your lips. It takes place in a more innocent time where expectations on ones conduct were clear to all, especially if you happen to be a women. This doesn’t stop Rowena Mumford though, although she does have a difficult decision to make. Who should she entertain as a potential suitor from the many men who seek her attention? She is a modern women though, who employs a creative plan to sort out that decision. Rowena also has a secret that is show more very much central to this plan and her future happiness.

One of M. Culler’s best!! Great characters and story, with surprising twists. Strongly recommended.
