Short biography
Gary Bennett is ranked as a 10th-degree black belt (Judan) and Soke (Grandmaster) of Tejitsu Aikido, the system he founded in 1989. His memberships have included the New World Martial Arts Association, the Eastern U.S.A. International Martial Arts Association (EUSAIMAA), the Bushido-Brotherhood Martial Arts Society, and the World Head of Family Sokeship Council (WHFSC). Grandmaster Bennett is a five-time Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee. He currently serves on the Executive Advisory Council of EUSAIMAA and is a WHFSC membership screener for the northeast quadrant of the United States.
BennettÂ’s dojo is located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where he trains a select group of dedicated students. He is an Aikido instructor for Westmoreland County Community College, a seminar instructor and promoter, and a volunteer who teaches self-defense to abuse victims and provides training for youth home employees. Bennett has authored a number of instructional books and articles and has produced training videos for Tejitsu Aikido.
