This is a royal fae book. Very interesting world. It took awhile for the MCs to get together because he could not cross into her human land until 25 years old even though he knew of her at 13. I liked their relationship and the twists at the end. Great book.
I really enjoyed the book especially the parts where they were together. More than half the book, he was bonded to her sister. Even though they hated each other, it had the FMC in other relationships. Granted, he killed all those guys but it was too long apart. And they never answered why he was bonded with the sister even though the mcs were best friends then wanting to be together since they were like 12. He picked her every time which was sweet even when he was brutal.
½
DNF at 48%. I was into the world-building and the different mystics, but the FMC was so nutso, and not in a good way. So many leaps that were just unlogical. I just can't. Life's too short.
I wasn't a fan of the writing style. It was very unevenly paced, the characters' motivations seemed forced, and there were a couple of violent scenes that came out of no where and were at odds with the lighter tones of the rest of the book.
