The book was about a boy named Tom and a girl named Ellenna. They go on quests to find beasts and make them friends. They were looking for a ghost phoenix named Spiros, to help them free their uncle from a bad wizzard, but they had to get past the wizzard's assistant to get to Spiros. The manged to do this and free their uncle.

I liked this book because there was always adventure in the book. I would recommend t his book to anyone who likes adventure stories.
