This is the conclusion to the Court of Ravens duet, an epic dark fantasy series. I just want to say that I hope more fantasy authors write duets instead of trilogies. I think the middle books often drag in trilogies, padded with stuff that could have been condensed into the other books.
Anyway, I love this world. The author really thought about the world, putting small portals in rooms for the ravens to fly through is just one example. The story concludes after a lot of twists in a very show more satisfactory and dark manner. This isn't a series for everyone, but I loved the darkness and hope to read more by this author. show less
After the cliffhanger of Book 1 I had to read Book 2 and I am so glad I did. This book was fantastic and I ended up a sobbing mess at the end.

I absolutely loved the writing. The spice was also *chef’s kiss*.
This is a great fantasy story of a world at war between humans and raven shifters. It's very dark and has a lot of steam, but I loved the world-building and how the plot evolved.
Galantia is promised to an allied prince but is kidnapped by Serbian and Malyr, two Ravens, and their men on her journey to his kingdom.
This is a love triangle or maybe just a harem romance, and while I loved all three characters involved, I didn't care for the steam as much as the story. I love dark, twisted show more heroes, and while Serbian is more morally gray, Maylr definitely fits that trope. Galantia is caught between them and trying to survive as a human in this raven world.
There's a lot of cruelty in both the human and raven worlds, hence some of the trigger warnings, but if you like dark fantasies, this series fits the bill.

Dark, delicious and wtf is wrong with me....I really enjoyed this book, and I'm so happy it's a completed duology as that ending would have had me in a slump
