I read and reread this as a child. I still remember many of the stories, and I am sure it helped shape who I became. And yes, I still own and treasure and sometimes reread that same copy.
Through poetry a group of people share experience, delight, sorrow, searching, and understanding, thus reaching a truer sense of poetry itself and of community.
This book contains many stories that are to be found in the Children's Story Caravan. All provide moral lessons that have become lore taught to Quaker children, many are about Quakers. The content and language reflect the time of publication.
