- Short biography
- Matthew Black writes humour with a naturist theme. His first novel ‘Clothing Optional’ - about the owners of a struggling hotel who make their swimming pool available to naturists – was released in 2013. Although it wasn't aimed specifically at naturists it gained exposure within the naturist community, particularly in the UK. His second novel – ‘Over Exposed’ – was released the following year and addressed the popular misconception that naturism has something to do with sex.
Matthew’s third novel – ‘Nine Years Naked’ – became the first of a series of novels set around the fictitious 'Hidden Lake Sun Club', and introduced the eccentric Gwen Dixon, her son Brad who works for a local Council and has a ‘gentleman’s problem’, her daughter-in-law Leanne whom she dislikes intensely, and her husband George who relishes recalling sordid tales from his visits to a Malaysian brothel whilst serving in the Navy. The sequel - ‘Naked Bucket List’ - sees Gwen et al. making the most of an unanticipated naturist vacation, whilst in ‘Body Parts’ Gwen does her utmost to secure Brad a new wife, despite him already being married. 'Screw firmly From Rear’ (released in August 2016) continues the saga when the club acquire some 'pre-loved' log cabins, develops the relationship between Gwen and Leanne, Brad’s ongoing ‘problem’ and George’s memoirs of his favourite ‘passion parlour’.
An unanticipated fifth novel 'Naked Punks on Dope' was released in July 2017, and introduces Angelica, a wannabe groupie cum rock chick, who descends unannounced on Brad and Leanne. What to do with her? Take her to a nudist club, of course! This novel, which includes real-life tales from the world of Rock & Roll is currently not in publication.
Finally, for the time being at least, a further sequel 'Taming Mrs Archibald's Schnauzer' was released in December 2018, and sees Brad Dixon try and restore the Hidden Lake Club to its former natural glory, partly assisted by his mother, and somewhat hindered by his wife, while Brad's father George happily goes off reminiscing about the olden days and how things used to be.
Matthew is married and lives north-east of London. He holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Westminster and is also a graduate in computing. He co-runs the Facebook page 'Clothing Optional', and can occasionally be found rabbiting away on Twitter @AuthorMatBlack - Places of residence
