This was a book that my four year old borrowed from the library. I think what primarily attracted him (though he is keen on dinosaurs) were the eyes; you control them independently of each other at the back of the book.
This short, simple story is about five dinosaurs having a race. Each page has one or two descriptive sentences about a dinosaur in the race (tyrannosaur, allosaurus, stegosaur, pterodactyl, saltopus)
It's amusing, and the illustrations are colourful and fairly detailed. Of show more course, the goggly eyes are great, too. The book is made so that as you turn each page, those eyes belong to the different dinosaurs. They get an extra half star.
It's good for a basic understanding for young children of these different types of dinosaurs. show less

Beautiful poems from New Zealand and the world. Gorgeous illustrations. I have enjoyed reading and singing this book to my son and daughter.
