Nonfiction; crafts/sewing. Really neat book for making sock dolls, which thoroughly explains the various techniques. It suffers somewhat from poor cover art that really doesn't do justice--the tween dolls would have made much better cover models. I would also recommend Stupid Sock Creatures as well as Sock and Glove.

If you want to make sock creatures, do not buy this book! Book Two (by the same author) is a MILLION times better.

Only issue I had with this is that I had to go and buy socks to make the creatures. In John Murphy's books you can use odd, old socks.
