Good exam preparation. Some silliness thrown in (thank goodness!). This was a far more entertaining read than it could have been. Topics were clearly explained and many times examples were included to help you understand and remember the information.
Took off a star when I remembered that sometimes I'd be reading along and there was a subtle (or not so subtle) topic change in what I was reading, but there was no indication of the change of topic in the book. Disconcerting.

A hefty tome of over 1100 pages, it covers a wide area of topics relating to Computer Security. Useful as an initial reference but feels a bit lacking in depth of expertise in some areas. It has a more academic feel rather than practised experience.
Good for an overview of a variety of security subjects, but probably only for those attempting to pass the CISSP. Coverage of subjects is too shallow, except for areas that seem to be on the test.
This book got me through the CISSP test on the first try. Very comprehensive.
