These Sunday comic strips from the turn of the century are considered classics, which shows how far the medium has come. There is an element of naive charm in this funny animal comic, but the art and the humor are so childish and simple that there is little appeal for this cynical adult of a century later. I do place more of the blame on the comic than on my own jadedness, though. This was indeed a comic for a different era. Historically interesting, though.
